Intern Reviews
- “Firm culture was great—everyone was super helpful and welcoming to the interns. Everyone in the office is treated with respect. Hours fluctuated based on the deal process itself; I never felt like I was doing work that wouldn't be used in the process, so I did not feel that my time was being wasted.”
- “Busy but enjoyed my time—great individuals at the firm.”
- “Harris Williams has an amazing culture. The environment was challenging but fun. I … think it's a great place to start your career.”
- “The firm's culture was incredibly welcoming, and I felt like employees truly went out of their way to meet the interns, from analysts to managing directors. While the internship surely required long hours, they were well enjoyed as, at all times, there were employees there to teach us and support us along the way. The attitude towards working longer hours was quite positive, especially among interns because we all could tell that the firm had put immense thought into the activities we were doing and what we were getting out of them in terms of education.”
Getting Hired Here
- “Onsite super day had six interviewers with a formal interview, lunch interview/casual discussion, and case study discussion after you write thoughts on the case study for 45 min. Interview was not incredibly rigorous but focused on culture fit and likeability, while still wanting you to be fairly prepared on financial questions but no expectations of perfection.”
- “The recruiting process was great. I always felt like a human being throughout the process as opposed to a number in the system. People would always respond to my emails. Interviews were super conversational, and I felt like people genuinely tried to get to know me.”
- “The interview process was wonderful. The process involved frequent touchpoints with the company through visits on campus, info sessions, and dinners. The interview process was well conducted but not overly played out. It was a smooth process.”
- “My interview experience was overall quite positive. While the interview process was certainly difficult and required answering difficult behavioral and technical questions, I thought that it was an extremely fair process. Both of the interviewers were positive and interacting with them was a positive experience despite my nervousness [about] how I performed and if I would receive the role or not.”
